Spring is coming … with some beautiful Cherry Blossom.

This is probably the first time that I took Miss X-T1 out for a day shoot, I must say, I am in love with her more and more after today. We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Auburn Botanic Gardens at Sydney’s inner west. Weather was a bit overcast and cloudy, but that still attracts thousands of people to go.

Auburn Botanic Gardens have this specific Japanese Gardens with traditional Japanese set out and planted heaps of Cherry Blossom trees. The event itself runs for 2 weekends and today is the last day. Hi Folks!

It has been a while (couple of weeks actually) that I haven’t been able to update Infiniticious! But don’t worry, I am not going to abandon this little baby. It has been very hectic with my work and study schedule, and I have scarified all my personal time for that. At the same time, I have been quite sick lately and also moved to a new place!

But everything should be back on track now and we should expect regular updates again! I would like to take this chance to say thank you to all that messaged me in the past few weeks to ask about the update of the blog and to whom that cheered me up!

Sydney Chinatown Night Market … with the sweet thirtyfive

A random Friday night stroll at the Chinatown night market after work while waiting for dinner. This is my first time out with the XF35 F1.4, although I am quite impressed with it’s low light capability, but it tends to hunt a bit for focus and the “chatter” noise when it does metering annoys the hell out of me. (I was convinced to a point that I have problem with the lens!) But it is seems to be a common problem with these early X-Series lenses and the XF35 has never been updated since the X-Pro1 days. Anyhow… I am still in love!

Just received some goodies today for my Japanese lady … from Korea!

Mr Postman is the Santa for me today! Just received some goodies for my XT-1 this morning from Korea!

Gariz – a boutique camera accessories brand from the land of Asian fashion capital, Korea (arguably). I took notice of this brand since my DSLR days, but have not tried any of their product until now. Gariz, named after it’s Chief Designer’s name Gary. They are running this “Mirrorless Project” to design products for different mirrorless cameras.

DSCF2304Let’s starts with the half case, tailor made for the X-T1. It comes in a very cool box and a protective pouch.  I have chosen
the brown colour case to match the retro feels of Miss XT-1. Genuine leather has been used throughout with a metal base plate that lock onto the camera via the tripod mount. Continue reading →

X-T1 Testing shots – Sydney

Took Miss X-T1 out for some random shooting on the street yesterday, I am still in my learning phase for the functions and buttons. Love the retro feels, she made me remember of the first camera that my dad put on my hand when I was in primary school (a old school Fujica SLR with manual focus indeed). Need to get rid of my old Nikon habits, even as simple as how to take the lens on and off the camera. I have nearly break the mount as it wont turn… then I realized that it turns the opposite way in comparison to my old Nikon DSLR.

Anyway, enjoy the photos… just some happy snaps.

This blog has published a week later than it supposed to be…. oh well. That’s my life at the moment.

Another Sunny Sunday in Sydney, my last off day before I head into a 26 days non-stop work/study schedule, I have decided I need a nice dose of coffee before this hectic 4 weeks starts.

Indigo Double Bay

I have finally had a Saturday off from the busy work and EMBA schedule and went to visit this little cafe in Double Bay. Indigo is situated at 15 Cross Street in Double bay, a vibrant part of the suburb near the newly re-opened Intercontinental Hotel.20150718_125131
